Today, we commemorated Remembrance Day with our annual ceremony at the Company’s memorial plaque. The ceremony was conducted by The Reverend Canon Bill Christianson and attended by a small number of Company members and staff. The Company wreath was laid by Master Jonathan Spence in remembrance of those who died for their country, including Tallow Chandlers whose names are recorded on our plaque:

Garden of Remembrance Service

Organised by the City Livery Committee, the annual Garden of Remembrance Service was held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Monday 3rd November 2025, attended by Tallow Chandlers' Company Master Jonathan Spence and Clerk Nel Doherty MBE.

Also in attendance were the Lord Mayor, Sheriffs, senior representatives of the Royal British Legion, Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force (RAF), Cadets from City of London schools and other Livery Company Masters. The Service was conducted by the Dean The Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Our Master planted a wooden Token of Remembrance on behalf of the Tallow Chandlers’ Company.
