On the 30th and 31st May, RAF Brize Norton hosted a Livery Engagement Event for those Livery Companies that support their squadrons or units. The Tallow Chandlers’ Company is affiliated with 206 Squadron.

Formed in 1916 as part of the Royal Naval Air Service, today the 206 Test and Evaluation Squadron is based at RAF Brize Norton, testing and evaluating UK Defence heavy aircraft, such as the Atlas A400M.

The Master attended the first day of the event, and the programme included a demonstration of the F-35B Lightening aircraft (photo two). The Company’s Renter Warden, Helen Whelan, led the Tallow Chandler party on the second day and wrote:

'Please pass on sincere thanks for organising such a unique experience which was greatly enjoyed by all. All the crew were very engaging and the whole experience was exceptionally well planned. Eight of the TC team were on the fuel tanker and 2 were on the A400M. All had a good day'.
