On Friday 17th October, the baton for the Tallow Chandlers’ Liaison Link for the London's Air Ambulance Charity was handed from David Stevens to Madhav Shankar on top of the Royal London Hospital. David has provided a stellar service over the past decade, linking the Company to the Charity and growing our support both for the charity itself as well as a bursary to support one of their MSc Prehospital Medicine.
The Clerk, Nel Doherty MBE, took the opportunity to get a little bit of an aviation fix, as well as to meet the LAAC team and document the visit.
Tanya Moss (Deputy Head of Philanthropy) and John Power (Chief Fire Officer) provided a fascinating and very compelling introduction to this incredible charity that does so much to provide advanced trauma teams to London’s most seriously injured patients.
