On Friday 2nd May, our Master and Clerk attended the finals of Reed's School’s Launch Car Challenge event, an outreach STEM programme for primary schools which takes place over 20 weeks, and is supported by the Company.
Over 700 children participate, designing and building a car that can be launched by a compressed air cylinder, aiming to go as far and as straight as possible. In addition to their cars, the children display and explain their design concepts to the judges.
The Master was one of those judges, alongside the Mayor of Elmbridge, and three of the teams competing were from Cubitt Town Primary School, one of the Company’s flagship schools.
