Greig City Academy Year 12 Mock Interviews
In February, Greig City Academy’s (GCA) Careers Adviser observed the Leigh Academy Halley Year 12 mock interviews in action here at the Hall, with Tallow Chandler members acting as interviewers, and was impressed with what she saw. We were delighted to welcome 85 Year 12 (Lower Sixth) pupils from Greig City Academy to the Hall on 22nd and 23rd June to participate in their first mock interview sessions, focusing on their career aspirations.
These sessions gave pupils experience of an interview process and practice at answering interview questions, with the aim being for pupils to leave the Hall feeling more confident about ‘real life’ interviews. Pupils were given individual, constructive feedback at the end of their interviews, and comments made by the pupils over both days on the process were very positive. So many went into the interview rooms feeling nervous, but came out smiling!
A big thank you to James Pryke, Malcolm Cornberg, Nicholas Bull, Polina Moore, Ian Robertson, Michael Thibouville, Crispin Lyden-Cowan, Mark Boult, Tor Keene, Bill Bexson, Hugh Milne, Mads Shankar, Ted Kehoe (Associate Member) and Belinda Gurelden (Associate Member and alumna of Greig City Academy) for giving their time and expertise to this process.
We look forward to hosting these sessions again for GCA pupils next year.
