The Master was delighted to welcome Tallow Chandler Award Winners to the Education Awards Lunch at the Hall on 28th April to celebrate their achievements. Award Winners from The University of Manchester; Reed's School; University of East London; Selwyn College, University of Cambridge; St Paul’s Cathedral Chorister School; City of London School for Girls; Snow Camp; City of London School; Greig City Academy; Leigh Academy Halley and Cubitt Town Primary School were in attendance.
Dr Shapour Hariri Shapour Hariri, a Tallow Chandler and an entrepreneur with a background in healthcare, technology and business, was guest speaker. Dr Hariri spoke about changes to the world of work, including the rise and use of AI, and the impact of those changes in the workplace. However, he advised that although change may create uncertainty, it can also create opportunity, and that those who embrace change and the opportunities arising from it, can shape their futures with confidence.
It was pleasure to meet all Award Winners and we wish them all the very best in the academic endeavours.
This annual event is held to congratulate our award winners on their achievements, and for them to find out more about the Company and meet members. All of the Company’s Award Winners become Past Award Winners, and many go on to join the Company.
