Last week on 12th March, Master Jonathan Spence attended the City & Guilds Foundation Livery Company Prizes Event at Mansion House to present the Tallow Chandlers' Company Health and Social Care Award.

Along with Lady Mayor, Dame Susan Langley DBE, and Consort Gary Langley, the Master presented the Award to Angela Long, a dedicated trainer with over 20 years’ experience in the Health and Social Care sector. Many congratulations to Angela!

This event highlighted the long-standing relationship between the City & Guilds Foundation (previously the City & Guilds of London Institute) and the City Livery Companies. "This shared history began in 1878, when sixteen Livery Companies founded the Institute to expand access to technical education. Today, that shared mission continues - supporting people to gain the skills they need for meaningful, sustainable employment." https://cityandguildsfoundation.org/2026/03/celebrating-skills-in-the-city-at-mansion-house/
