Barts and the London’s Air Ambulance Charity Special Supper 2026

On 5^th March, the Master and Wardens welcomed this year’s Tallow Chandler Award Recipients from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and the London’s Air Ambulance Charity to a special Supper in their honour.

Company members linked to Barts, London’s Air Ambulance Charity and the Ensor Zochonis Award, as well as staff from Barts, London's Air Ambulance Charity and Anya’s Charity (which supports two of the awards to Barts students) also attended.

Dr Jurgen Groet, from Barts, spoke about the benefits and positive impact of intercalated degrees and this year’s Ensor Zochonis Award Recipient, Mila Rontree, gave an insightful and moving speech on her journey to studying an MSc Neuroscience at Barts.

All the students were inspiring and it is clear how much these awards make a difference to their studies and achievements.
