Bateman’s students in the new Open School, Chennai

Since 1998, Alex has devoted almost all her life to the School. She’s helped it go from supporting 50 children to looking after 85 in the Boarding Home, 45 in the attached Open School and a further 30 with fee support.

We’ve been making annual donations to Batemans for about eight years. Several members of the Court and Livery are also long term sponsors of individual children. In addition, in 2011, the proceeds from the Master’s Bollywood evening were given to the school.

Our money makes a real difference. The purchasing power of the pound in India helps us achieve more here for more people than in most, if not all, of our recipient charities.
