The Tallow Chandlers Company has built up a strong tradition of giving. At present, the Company makes charitable gifts of around £150,000 per annum. Charitable giving is focused on supporting medical research, the care of the handicapped, and the encouragement of excellence at schools and universities. The Company also helps City based charities, and charities where a Liveryman or Freeman is actively involved.

The Company supports a number of medical charities, including Sydenham based St Christopher's Hospice, and the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability, through gifts assisting on-going development. Amongst the schools and colleges supported are the Bridge Special Needs School in Islington, Lord Mayor Treloar's College for severely disabled students, St Paul's Cathedral School, and Barts / Royal London Medical College.

Broader youth support projects, such as Fairbridge, which helps young people from inner cities achieve their full potential, and Centre Point, which provides help for the homeless, receive regular donations. The Company's largest annual donation is made in support of various inner city youth clubs belonging to the London Federation of Youth Clubs.
